A warm welcome to the 10th biennial conference of All Together Better Health (ATBH X) to be held in Qatar in October 2021 bringing this event to the Middle East for the first time! ATBH is the leading global interprofessional education and collaborative practice conference, previously hosted in Japan, Australia, Sweden, England, Canada, United States and New Zealand.
ATBH is under the direction of the Global Confederation for Interprofessional Education & Collaborative Practice (Interprofessional.Global). Every two years, ATBH provides a collaborative forum for transnational champions to promote IPECP towards improving global health through consensus-based partnership, share ideas and address emerging health care challenges. ATBH is driven by the conviction that concerted action to improve working together will effect change, enhance quality of care, ensure safety, and optimise deployment of human resources.
Our 10th anniversary conference theme is Cultivating a Collaborative Culture: Sharing Pearls of Wisdom. The subthemes are based on:
ADVOCATING for people centred care, health and wellbeing
EMBRACING diversity of stakeholders
INFORMING regional and global IPE policies and standards
PROMOTING safety in and beyond healthcare settings
SHARING models of best practice in interprofessional education & collaborative practice
We welcome all practitioners, educators, researchers, students, academics, administrators, policy makers, service users and patients from healthcare, policy, education and industry settings from around the globe. The ATBH X conference aims to inspire and provide opportunities to share knowledge, compare perspectives, exchange experiences and transform current understandings of IPECP.

At the College of Pharmacy in Qatar University we have established the Interprofessional Education Committee (IPEC) to provide guidance and support in implementing interprofessional education within the pharmacy curriculum at the College of Pharmacy in Qatar University and other Healthcare Program in Qatar including medicine, nursing and health sciences.
The committee is dedicated to facilitating awareness and understanding of interprofessional education for interprofessional collaboration for students and faculty members. The committee adheres to the Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education definition of interprofessional education: “Interprofessional Education occurs when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care" (CAIPE 2002).
We are a group of health majoring students from different universities; University of Calgary, Weill Cornell Medical College, College of North Atlantic, and Qatar University who seek to promote inter-professional education and practice among students. This is an undergraduate student lead society, first ever in Qatar, created to facilitate the interactions between the different health care professionals.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to develop and facilitate interaction between students of University of Calgary in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, College of the North Atlantic - Qatar, and Qatar University to work together for enhancing collaboration between health care students, create better educational environment and improve patient centered care.
Our vision is to improve the health sector and create a skilled and effective national work force capable of providing high quality health services to help achieve Qatar's National Vision 2030.
Objectives and Goals
Create a collaborative environment among the different health majoring student
Develop and maintain partnerships among students with the different universities in Qatar
Raise awareness of the roles, values, and scope of the practice between different health care profession
Enhance communication between undergraduate students from health major universities
Share knowledge and ideas across all health care professions to facilitate interactions
Use information systems and technology to exchange knowledge between health major universities
Work together across all profession to solve problems, cases and address conflicts
Share decision making and responsibilities among each other
Build relationships between each other to improve our professional lives after graduation
Members joining the society shall be all those registered as current students in any of the following universities or colleges: University of Calgary in Qatar, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, College of the North Atlantic - Qatar, and Qatar University.
