The Library has a microfilm/fiche reader available for users to use; this machine and collection is located in the Special Collection. You can use the reader to view, save, print, and email yourself images from microfilm/fiche. The contents this collection are manuscripts and thesis (Arabic-English) Microfilm: is a 35mm film on which printed materials are photographed at greatly reduced size for ease of storage. The digital lens on the microfilm reader enlarges the image, allowing you to read the contents. Find Microfilm through the Library Online Catalog. Microfiche: is a card made of transparent film used to store printed information in miniaturized form. يحتوي قسم المجموعات الخاصة على جهاز قارئ لمجموعة الميكروفيلم / المايكروفش/ شرائح الأفلام وهو متاح للمستفيدين لاستخدامه؛ يمكنك استخدام القارئ للاطلاع على المجموعة أو حفظها أو طباعتها أو إرسالها بالبريد الإلكتروني، وهذه المجموعة تضم العديد من المخطوطات والرسائل الجامعية باللغة العربية والإنجليزية. المايكروفيلم (Microfilm): فيلم مقاس 35 مم وهو عبارة عن فيلم بكره حسَّاس يصور عليه تسجيل فوتوغرافي مصغر لنص مكتوب أو مطبوع. تعمل العدسة الرقمية الموجودة على قارئ الميكروفيلم على تكبير الصورة، مما يتيح لك قراءة المحتويات. كما يمكنك البحث عن عناوين المايكروفيلم من خلال الفهرس الآلي لمكتبة جامعة قطر. المايكروفيش (Microfiche): وهي عبارة عن بطاقة وشريحة فيلميه مسطحة تترتب فيها اللقطات بشكل أفقي وعمودي، يضعها المستخدم تحت عدسة جهاز قارئ الميكروفيش، لتصبح واضحة لقراءة المحتويات. كما يمكنك البحث عن عناوين المايكرو فيش من خلال الفهرس الآلي لمكتبة جامعة قطر. |

Slides Collection: The Qatar University Library acquires a set of Slides Collection, and it is estimated that there are (3000) slides in (4) containers, as follows:
This collection called (Visual encyclopaedia of Islamic civilization) containing various images such as: (Geographical Maps, Heritage Buildings, Monuments such as Pots and Pottery, Coins, etc.); Some of slides also pages of manuscripts. شرائح الأفلام (Slider Collection): تقتني مكتبة جامعة قطر مجموعة من شرائح الأفلام، ويقدر عددها (3000) شريحة في (4) حاويات، كالتالي:
تسمى هذه المجموعة (Visual encyclopaedia of Islamic civilization) موسوعة بصرية للحضارة الإسلامية، حيث تتنوع هذه الشرائح ما بين صور لخرائط جغرافية، مباني تراثية، آثار كالأواني والفخار، عملات نقدية وما إلى ذلك؛ كما تحتوي بعض الشرائج على صفحات لمخطوطات. شرائح الأفلام ملونة، قياس الشريحة الواحدة (5 × 5 سم)، 35 مم. كما يمكنك البحث عن عناوين شرائح الأفلام من خلال مركز المجموعات الرقمية لجامعة قطر. |
