Broad databases, covering a wide variety of topics, are useful for interdisplinary research. These databases are a good place to begin your search on most topics.
Scopus is a comprehensive abstract and indexing database providing bibliographic citations for scientific, technical and medical information, containing approximately 13,000 journal titles from 4,000 publishers, and abstracts going back to 1966.
Tips for better search results using Boolean or Advanced Searches
antibiotics and recurrence searches for occurrences of both words
intervention or treatment searches for or all, but both are not required
intervention not recurrence searches for occurrences of the word ‘intervention’ but without use of the word ‘recurrence'
"prophylactic antibiotics" searches for the words as a pair not individually
interven* searches for intervene, intervened, intervening, intervention, etc.
m?n searches for man and men.

A major biomedical and pharmacological database containing citations, abstracts and indexing derived from biomedical articles in peer reviewed international journals. It also provides comprehensive coverage of drug and pharmaceutical research. Access to full text articles is dependent on Qatar University Library subscription to that journal or online service.
