What is Peer Review?

When authors submit papers to be published in journals, their papers undergo a rigorous critique by a group of experts in that particular field. This process of critiquing an article is known as 'peer review.' The experts who review the article are known as 'peer reviewers.' The purpose of the peer review is to ensure a high quality of published research.
