Tips for better search results using Boolean or Advanced Searches

  • urban and city searches for occurrences of both words 
  • urban or city searches for  or all, but both are not required
  • urban not city searches for occurrences of the word ‘urban’ but without use of the word ‘city'
  • "urban planningsearches for the words as a pair not individually
  • art* searches for art, arts, artistic, artful, etc.
  • m?n searches for man and men.
